Astor Standing Aid

Along with the quality range of ceiling and mobile patient transfer equipment offered by Astor Bannerman, the Astor Standing Aid, a mobile standing and raising hoist, is a great addition to any care setting where extra help standing and sitting is required.

The Astor Standing Aid is available in either stainless steel or aluminium, is battery operated and safe for use in wet rooms and bathrooms to help with gait training and room to room transfer.  Ideal for patients with reduced core or leg strength and the soft padded leg supports with integrated shock absorbers, mean the Ora is safe, comfortable and easy to use for client and caregiver.

The ergonomic grip handles on the Astor Standing Aid can also be fitted in two positions so clients under 5ft 4in (160cm) can still be lifted comfortably and securely.

The overload protection and emergency lowering systems also gives peace of mind that the patient can be gently lowered to a sitting position in the event of a power failure and convenient battery and service lights on the handset mean the caregiver can concentrate on patient care and handling.

As with the Astor Mobile Hoists, the lifting arm and spreadable legs are battery-operated at the touch of a button and the double casters mean that this hoist can then easily be manually moved from room to room.

There is a range of optional extras which can be purchased with the Astor Standing Aid such as a range of secure upper body clip slings with a chest strap, spare batteries and external charging stations as well as arrange of service options in addition to the 3-year warranty*.
