We recently took a break from our usual routines to dive into something a little different — building one of our Invincible Changing Tables together as a team. As a UK manufacturer, we’re proud of the craftsmanship and care that go into every product we make. This exercise was a chance to see what it’s really like to work on the shop floor and to bring everyone closer together.
Learning from the Experts
Our production team is full of highly skilled professionals who know our products inside out. For this activity, they became our guides, sharing their knowledge and showing us what it takes to assemble one of our tables. From fitting the robust frame to ensuring the height-adjustable mechanism worked perfectly, their expertise was invaluable.
Getting Hands On
Working in mixed teams from different departments, we all rolled up our sleeves and got stuck in.
It was fascinating to see how much precision and attention to detail is required at every stage of the process.
Some of us struggled a bit with the tools at first, but with guidance from the production team, we soon found our rhythm.
By the end, each group had contributed to building something tangible — and we had a lot of laughs along the way.
Building Connections
This wasn’t just about learning how our products are made; it was about connecting with each other. Being on the shop floor gave us a real appreciation for the hard work and skill of our production team, and it was a great opportunity to bond across departments. We all left with a better understanding of what goes into creating the equipment that makes such a difference to people’s lives.
By the end of the day, we had built more than just a Changing Table. We had built stronger connections, shared respect, and a deeper sense of teamwork. This exercise reminded us that, no matter what our roles are, we’re all part of the same mission: to deliver high-quality, life-enhancing products as a proud UK manufacturer.
