This week, we are delighted to be attending the Occupational Therapy Adaptation Conference (OTAC) in Glasgow to meet with occupational therapists and professionals involved in home adaptations across Scotland. At Astor Bannerman, we’re passionate about working collaboratively to support disabled people and their families, and we’re proud to be part of Scotland’s journey towards greater accessibility.

Supporting Scotland’s Communities

Astor Bannerman has been active in Scotland across a variety of sectors, including:

Private Homes: Helping disabled people and their families create accessible spaces tailored to their unique needs.

Care Homes: Providing solutions that enhance comfort and independence for residents.

Schools: Enabling inclusive learning environments for students with disabilities.

Public Spaces: Transforming accessibility through Changing Places Toilets and other innovative projects.

Our work on Changing Places Toilets is especially significant in Scotland. We’ve collaborated on a range of projects to ensure public spaces are more inclusive, allowing more people to participate fully in their communities. Some of our key installations include:

Each of these projects reflects our commitment to creating spaces that meet the needs of disabled people and their families, ensuring that no one is excluded due to inadequate facilities.

Looking Ahead: RISE4Disability Scotland

We’re excited to announce that we’ll be returning in November 2025 for the RISE4Disability event. This will be another opportunity to connect and discuss the ways we can work together to create meaningful change for disabled people and their families in their day-to-day lives.
