At Astor Bannerman, we are proud to have been part of the installation of a brand-new Changing Places toilet at Page Park in Bristol. This beloved park, located in Staple Hill, South Gloucestershire, is a cherished green space that offers a variety of recreational activities for the local community. Now, thanks to South Gloucestershire Council and the Friends of Page Park, the park has become even more inclusive, with accessible facilities that cater to everyone’s needs.

Access and Availability of the New Changing Places Toilet

The new Changing Places toilet is open seven days a week from 8am to 7pm in the warmer months (April to September) and 8am to 4pm in the winter (October to March).

Access requires a personal fob, which can be obtained from the One Stop Shop at the Civic Centre in Kingswood. Visitors must complete a short registration form, and the fob can then be kept for future use, ensuring quick and easy access on all visits.

The Impact: A Word From The Councillor

Councillor Sean Rhodes, cabinet member for communities and local place at South Gloucestershire Council, expressed his pride in this new facility:

I am delighted to see these new accessible toilets open for use. We want to make our parks and open spaces available to everyone, and having accessible toilets and facilities that meet everyone’s needs are important to enable all visitors to spend time in the area. Thanks to the Friends of Page Park for their contribution and involvement to make this possible.
