This essential space has been created with grant funding provided by the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities. Crawley Borough Council was awarded a grant of £97,000 to install Changing Places toilets at K2 and at Hawth Theatre.
Astor Bannerman installed the new Changing Places Toilet.
The equipment in the Changing Places toilet includes:
– Peninsular Toilet
– Shower
Councillor Chris Mullins from Crawley Borough Council said:
“Our government grant to install new Changing Places toilets was aimed to directly increase the accessibility of leisure activities and it is with some pride that we have completed this work. A Changing Places toilet at K2 Crawley means people with complex needs using the centre, Tilgate Park or nearby can get to the specialist facility there.”
Jon Hodgson from Everyone Active said:
“I’m delighted to see the completion of the Changing Places facilities at K2 Crawley. These changing amenities will make the centre more accessible to the local community, providing a better experience for all user groups.”
