Astor Bannerman is thrilled to announce its upcoming Inclusive Bathroom Design Forum on September 25th 2024, at UA92 Manchester. This landmark event will bring together Occupational Therapists, Architects, and other accessibility professionals to explore the latest innovations in accessible bathroom design across various environments, including homes, schools, and public spaces. Our experts will also be on-hand to advise on best practice for the planning, design and specification of these essential facilities.

What to Expect from the Event

Running from 10am to 3pm (drop in whenever convenient during that time), the forum will feature live demonstrations of the latest equipment, including height-adjustable washbasins and changing tables, accessible baths, and ceiling track hoists. Attendees will also have the opportunity to attend accredited CPD training sessions on:

  • Changing Places Toilets
  • Accessible Bathroom Design in Home Environments
  • Hygiene Rooms in Education

Each CPD session will cover relevant legislation, planning and design considerations, and appropriate equipment choices, providing attendees with the knowledge and tools to ensure their projects are compliant and meet the needs of the people using them. The forum promises a day of hands-on learning, expert advice and networking, with lunch and refreshments provided. Participants are welcome to drop in throughout the day. Register for the event to get updates in the run up to the day, including the precise schedule, details of the equipment that will be available to demo, and lunch options.
