Exploring Accessible Edinburgh
During our visit, we had the opportunity to explore more of what makes Edinburgh an accessible city. From its historic landmarks to modern attractions, Edinburgh is increasingly accommodating the needs of all its visitors.
Edinburgh Castle: One of Scotland’s most iconic landmarks, Edinburgh Castle has made significant efforts to improve accessibility. Ramps and lifts are available in key areas, and the staff are trained to assist visitors with disabilities.
The Royal Mile: Stretching from the castle to the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the Royal Mile is equipped with dropped kerbs and accessible entrances to many shops, cafes, and attractions.
Princes Street Gardens: These beautiful gardens provide a serene escape in the city center, with wide, flat paths that are wheelchair accessible.
Our visit to Edinburgh reinforced our commitment to enhancing accessibility through our Changing Places installations. We are proud to support facilities that allow everyone, regardless of their physical abilities, to travel with confidence and dignity.
